Simulation of columnar grain structure in twin-roll cast strips

摘要: 鑒于雙輥薄帶連鑄等軸晶區半固態鑄軋組織對產品性能的重要性,應用Calcosoft軟件中的FE-CA方法對薄帶柱狀晶組織進行模擬,模擬結果與實驗結果基本吻合,實現了柱狀晶區的可視化.應用建立的微觀組織模型,研究了三種工藝參數對柱狀晶區寬度的影響.結果表明:隨著熔池液面高度的增加,薄帶柱狀晶區寬度增加;隨著澆鑄溫度和鑄輥轉速的增加,薄帶柱狀晶區寬度減小.Abstract: The width of columnar grain zone in as cast strips is mainly determined by the length of columnar grains at nip point. The columnar grain structure was simulated by FE-CA method in Calcosoft. The visualized morphology was obtained, and the calculation results fit the experimental ones well. By use of this model, the effects of process parameters on the width of columnar grain zone were studied. The results show that the width of columnar grain zone increases with increasing liquid steel surface height in the pool, but it decreases with the increase of casting temperature and casting speed.
