Field emission from well-aligned ZnO nanorods

摘要: 采用物理氣相沉積的方法通過控制生長參數,在硅襯底上獲得不同形貌的氧化鋅納米陣列.在金屬場發射系統中測量了它們的場致電子發射性能,發現陰極發射電流不穩定主要是由于氧化鋅納米陣列的不均勻性造成的.采用高壓勵煉技術可以增強氧化鋅場發射的穩定性,使電流波動明顯降低.此外,形貌對氧化鋅納米陣列的場發射電流密度和閾值電壓有明顯影響,而且不同形貌的氧化鋅納米陣列的抗濺射能力也不相同.Abstract: Well-aligned zinc oxide nanorods with different morphologies were fabricated on silicon substrates via a simple thermal evaporation method.The field emission measurements of these ZnO arrays show that the emission instability was mainly caused by the non-uniformity of emission tips in the arrays.DC ageing process was adopted and found that it was an effective way to improve the emission stability.The morphology of ZnO arrays has also effected obviously on the field emission property,and the optimized morphology exhibits better field emission property.
