Fluid Flow Characterization in the Tundish with Preventur Pad

摘要: 通過物理和數學模擬研究了一種新型中間包流控裝置——阻流器對中間包內流場的影響.并通過同傳統的單檔墻、壩下中間包內流場的比較,得出阻流器可改變中間包內傳統的流場,使鋼液由長水口注入中間包后再返回自身,從而消除了中間包短流,發展了表面流,延長了滯止時間和平均停留時間,有利于中間包內夾雜物的去除.在較大的拉速下使用單檔墻+單壩+阻流器的組合結構,效果更好.數學模型計算出的流場同水模型實驗吻合較好.Abstract: Through physical and mathmaterical simulation,the flow patterns in the tundish with a new-born type of flow control device——Preventur Pad were studied. Compared with the typical dams and weirs,preventur pad can return the fluid from the stockel directly to itself,maximize the mean and minimum residence times,increase plug volume and cancel short circulation in the tundish.Especially in high-speed casting, preventur pad+dam+weir has better effect on the removing of inclusions from the tundish. The fluid patterns in the tundish with preventur pad have been proved through mathematical simulation.
