Electroplating of Zinc on Pipe Fittings

摘要: 以CT-2為光亮劑的氯化鉀電鍍鋅在瑪鋼水暖件上施鍍時,其電流效率為95%,鍍層光亮細致,其耐蝕性與低碳鋼上的鍍鋅層相近,證明水曖件原材料的成分及其鑄態表面缺陷對電鍍鋅的質量無顯著影響,但電鍍鋅與熱浸鋅相比可大大降低鋅和能量單耗,降低成本,可用電鍍鋅來代替現行的熱浸鋅。Abstract: Electroplating of zinc on pipe fittings from a potassium chloride containing bath with brightener CT-2 was found to be a very good process with current efficiency of 95 pct and bright electroplate which has corossion resistance being almost the same as that of zinc electroplates on mild steel, which showed that the composition and the casting surface defaults of the pipe fittings had no significant effects on the quality of the electroplates. Therefore, electroplating of zinc on pipe fittings should be substituted for hot dipping process of zinc because the cost of zinc electroplating would be lower than that of hot dipping process due to the low er consumption of zinc and energy of the electroplating.
