An Investigation on Manufacture of Nodular Graphite Cast Iron by Injection of Rare Earth Alloys

摘要: 本文論述了使用噴射法,用無鎂稀土合金作球化劑處理不同含硫量的鐵水制備球墨鑄鐵的可能性。噴射法由于改善了球化反應動力學條件,稀土和鎂一樣是優良的球化劑。文中對稀土球鐵的稀土殘留量范圍、不同種類球化劑的相應處理方法作了初步探討,認為噴射法是稀土球墨鑄鐵的合適處理方法。Abstract: This paper presents the possibility of making nodular graphite cast ironbyinjection of rare earth alloys instead of magnesium as nodularizer to themolten iron with different sulfur content.Rare earths are as excellent no- dularizers as magnesium, since the injection method has improved the kinetic conditions of the nodularizing reaction. The range of rare earth residue in nodular graphite cast iron and the treatment method for different nodula-rizers are discussed preliminarily in this paper.It is proposed that injection is a suitable method for producing rare earth nodular graphite cast iron.
