Abstract:
Additive manufacturing of metals using stereolithographic 3D printing techniques is one of the most advanced manufacturing technologies, which have enormous potential in fabricating complex parts using SLA, DLP, LCD, CLIP, and TPP printers. This paper summarizes four major stereolithographic additive manufacturing techniques, their processes, and current progress, including curing sintering method, curing coating method, hybrid curing method and curing mold method. By analyzing the application of every technique and its key scientific problems limiting its wide applications, this paper outlook the future direction of 3D printing of metals using stereolithographic methods.
