Abstract: This paper summarized the application, review, and award of research funding in the Mining and Metallurgical Engineering discipline at the Department of Engineering and Materials Science of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2021, as well as the final review and mid-term inspection of relevant projects. This paper also introduced the development strategy of the discipline and proposed the next steps for continuous improvement.
