Abstract: TiO₂ thin film and Fe₂O₃/TiO₂ and Cr₂O₃/TiO₂ thin films were prepared by the photodepositing method on soda lime glass substrates. The results of SEM showed that the surface of Fe₂O₃/TiO₂ thin film was occupied by grain-like oxides while the surface of Cr₂O₃/TiO₂ thin film by net-like particles. The hydrophilicities of TiO₂ thin films increased with the doping of Fe³⁺/Cr³⁺. The photoeatalytie activities of TiO₂ films in photodegradation of methylene orange solution increased with the doping of Fe³⁺ but varied little with the doping of Cr³⁺.
