Abstract: The effect of particle morphology on the operating parameters of a circulating fluidized bed boiler such as sphericity and size distribution in dense and dilute phases was analyzed, and the combustion behavior of chip-like anthracite was studied through the measured operating parameters. The results showed that particle morphology has huge impact on the average suspension density and partical size distribution in the dense bed and dilute bed of a furnance, and might be the direct reason of the flucluatons of furnace temperature and elutriation.
