Computer Simulation of Random Packing of Spherical Particles

  • 摘要: 利用離散元方法模擬了均勻球形顆粒的隨機排列過程.在模擬過程中考慮了重力、顆粒間的接觸力、摩擦力以及范德華力(VDWI);顆粒的運動包括平動和轉動.研究表明,顆粒間的作用力對球形顆粒隨機排列體的結構影響很大.對于粒徑為100μm球形顆粒,如果不考慮顆粒之間的摩擦力和范德華力,排列體為隨機密排和有序密排的混合體,其排列密度為0.8696;考慮顆粒間的摩擦力和范德華力:排列密度降低為0.8213.描述了排列體幾何結構隨時間的演化過程、特定顆粒在排列過程中的運動軌跡及顆粒配位數的分布規律.同時給出了不同條件下二元系的排列結果.

     

    Abstract: A computer simulation for evolution of random structures of spherical particles in two dimensions has been performed by the distinct element method. The forces among the particles considered were gravity, friction force and Van Der Waals Interaction(VDWI). The motion of particles involved translation and rotation. For 100 μm particles, if friction and VDWI were not considered, the packing assembly was a mixture of random packing and order packing with packing density of 0.869 6, if friction and VDWI were taken into account, the packing density was 0.821 3. To study the procedure of packing, packing densities with different time, particle trajectory and coordination number were examined. The packing structures of binary system with different conditions were also given.
